Don't get 5 hours or less of sleep for weeks on end, you'll end up sleeping 12 hours one night. Thats what I did last night, not fun.

I always sleep like 10 hours on the weekends. Well when I go to bed earlier than 4.

Bummer, that could have been fun for you. On a more serious note, I dont know how this would affect a narcoleptic, but try melatonin, thats what I use

I've tried melatonin and I always keep a bottle around but I don't want to become dependent on it to fall asleep. I occasionally buy some at Costco.

My doctor warned me about that. Taking too much will cause your body to stop producing enough to sleep on its own.

Ya, Ive known about it for a while. Ive been taking it for years, my mom early on didnt believe me that you could become dependent on it and would yell at me when I didnt take it. I was up to 6mg a night, now I'm down to 3.
